Franck Tamdhu Has Defamed Me and I Think He Might Do It Again
I have written this article to begin tracking Franck Tamdhu’s defamation against me (Stephen Sorensen), as well as to provide evidence to clear my name and to get down to the bottom of this controversy. The issue is that somebody has uploaded Anatoly Fomenko’s 22 e-book series illegally to the Google Drive and Tamdhu wants it taken down. The defamation comes into play when Tamdhu claims that I am the person who uploaded the e-books and that I am refusing to admit it or take them down. I am not the person who uploaded the e-books and I have done what I can to prevent the spreading of that link after I found out that is was potentially damaging future English publications from Fomenko’s New Chronology. Now I am still being defamed nearly a year later.
Franck has accused me of piracy directly over Facebook but I didn’t realize until today that he really truly believes deep down in his heart that I am the original pirate of the e-books. If I see any online comments from him in the future I will be sure to screenshot them and add them to this article. Here is part of the email I received today.
“Here is part of what he (author’s note; he as in Tamdhu) said:
Mr Stephenson, I hope so is still a follower of the ideas of New Chronology of Dr Anatoly Fomenko, consequently, he should consider that his act of ‘benevolent’ internet piracy is literally helping to block publication of v:6, v7. Btw the translation from scientific native into English cost about $30 000 per volume.“
I think this all began when PB (I will refer to this person with two letters in this article to maintain some anonymity for them) thanked me for a Google-Drive link that contained Anatoly Fomenko’s 22 e-book series, of which Tamdhu was the project manager. This thank you was posted on Facebook on March 18th, 2019. The “45w” below means “45 weeks” and when I hover over it it says “Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 11:58 AM”.
Another post was made on March 23rd, 2019 that also thanked me for the link. Until today when someone emailed me about Franck messaging them defaming me, I didn’t even realize that PB was thanking me for the link to the Google Drive as I figured he already had it since he had been looking into Fomenko’s New Chronology longer than I had.
I don’t know what else might be out there that has Tamdhu so wholly convinced that I’m the uploader of the e-books, but the thank you above is my best guess as of writing this article. I decided today to look into the Google Drive doc to see if I could locate the person who originally uploaded it. It took me less than an hour to find more information about who it might be, and none of it linked back to me. Leading me further to believe that Franck really is basing his defamation solely on a thank you from a Facebook post.
At the top of the Google Drive doc, you can see who owns the document.

I am not CONSPiRACY CLASSiCS and I have no access to that email. I don’t remember ever seeing this name or email before today, and if I have it was so insignificant that I have no memory of it. I have sent an email to it to inquire about the person behind it, but that was moments ago and I have not yet received a response. (EDIT: It is now Feb. 2022 and I still have not received a response).
Furthermore, the Google Drive has information about when it was created, last modified, and last opened. It was created on December 24th, 2015. This date is prior to the time that I had heard about Fomenko. It was not until the following summer, I think some 6 months later, that I started reading the material online. This link already existed at that time and was one that I used, not knowing it was uploaded illegally.
In August 2015, I was 19. I don’t remember knowing about Fomenko’s New Chronology, and I definitely had not looked into it at all, much less purchased books from Kindle (I think is where Tamdhu claims these were uploaded from) and uploaded them illegally.
I dug further to try and find more information about who the owner is. I found a YouTube channel with the same name and picture as the email.
They joined YouTube on Aug 2, 2015. This is about 5 months prior to the Google Drive Folder being uploaded. Again, at a time where I don’t think I had even heard of Fomenko’s New Chronology. Also it’s not my channel. My first Fomenko related email/YouTube channel was Fomenko Studies, based on the Facebook group I started on August 14th, 2018, over three years after the conspiracy channel joined YouTube. I have just today become aware that the channel even exists.
I kept digging and found a website linked to their YouTube channel. I circled the link in red, as the other link to the left of that was broken when I clicked it.
The link brings you to a website with the same graphics as the YouTube channel’s background.
It appears to me that the website was founded in 2005, when I was only 10 years old, by Joël van der Reijden.
My best guess right now is that this is the person responsible for uploading the e-books to the Google Drive. I don’t know though because I have not yet contacted him to ask and the gmail associated with the YouTube might not even be his, but someone who is a supporter of Reijden’s website.
We might not yet know who uploaded the e-books, but I think we are a lot closer than Tamdhu, who has been defaming me because of them for over a year, and I’ve spent less than 2 hours total on this (digging and writing).
All-in-all, Tamdhu’s behavior has been incredibly off-putting to me and has not made me inclined in anyway to spend money on his products. He is a separate person from Anatoly Fomenko and I’m still interested in the New Chronology. Please do not use the illegal link and discourage others from using it as well.
One last time in case it wasn’t clear above:
I did not upload the e-books.

Hi Stephen. It is me, who is the translator. When Kluwer saw what the crazy guy is really talking about and how voluminous the original manuscript was, the publishers owing me three times more than they paid, they decided to put the blame on me, saying the two-volume work was not translated properly, and that’s why the theory is not sound. One Prof. Hazewinkel with the house previously used to say I did excellent jobs. In fact, this one was impossible to translate: Everything there is wrong. After a couple of years, probably seeing the book does not sell well, they took my text, and started retelling it, rewriting the original citations, now not caring about any proof for their statements, etc. But, the basis is mine. They do not show the publisher’s name to avoid any suing, erased my name not to pay me anything – I tell you I did it for the Dutch for free – with one Franck Tamdhu as the editor and Michael Jagger as the translator appearing. Who is the former with such a strange name for a German? He must be a fraud. There was a copyright agency in Russia where I e-mailed a complaint, giving them my and their texts in parallel only to get an inconclusive answer in a year! I later learned that the agent had been charged with receiving kickbacks. Subsequent editions of the rubbish just rehash my already rehashed translation. Do you know the total number of copies of all separate or abridged editions is nearing one million? Fomenko’s wife is also a thief: She took my purely mathematical translation, introduced minor changes, proving wrong, BTW, in many instances, and published the book wth Springer without the name of translator.
