On a General Disinterest for the Truth & Outright Deception: Journal 6

This past week I read some short essays, updated some spreadsheets, posted some book reviews, and brainstormed some book ideas. See my daily breakdown below.

Monday I starting compiling questions for a deception journal that aims to get you more in tune with how interwoven deception is within society and history. But as I was doing this I also began to again draft out a sketch for an introductory book for deception studies. I’m not sure what will come of this. There are still a lot of books in this field that I want to read before writing a book of my own to add to the list.

Tuesday I updated my dictionary list. I come across words while reading that are unknown to me, or that capture my attention, and I’ve been building a dictionary of my own with these words. This most recent update put the list of words at exactly 200.

Wednesday I read Frankfurt’s On Bullshit.

Thursday I read Frankfurt’s On Truth.

Friday I published book reviews for the books I’d read but not yet reviewed. Here are the links:

Saturday I read Mark Twain’s On the Decay of the Art of Lying and posted my review for it, which you can find here:

I also updated my read deception books spreadsheet, the spreadsheet I made to keep track of the deception related books that I’ve read cover to cover. The total count is at 71 now.

Sunday I updated my bought deception books spreadsheet before writing and posting this journal entry.
