Narratology’s Definitions

Dictionary.com does not define narratology.

Merriam Webster’s Dictionary defined it as:[1]
“the study of structure in narratives”

Lexico defined it as:[2]
“The branch of knowledge or literary criticism that deals with the structure and function of narrative and its themes, conventions, and symbols.”

Narratology’s Etymology

1976 – Allegedly earliest known use. Defined as above.[1]
