Marcus Terentius Varro

Marcus Terentius Varro (116 – 27 B.C.).

Oxford Libraries lists 2 manuscripts. [1]
– MS. Auct. F. 5. 32 — 15th century, second half; Italian, North
– MS. Lat. class. d. 2 — 1454; Italian, Ferrara

Pearse lists 3. One isn’t dated, one dates to the 11th century and the other dates to the 15th. [2]

The 11th century one (F) possibly has 16th century provenance but altogether its chain of ownership is obscure.

“There are numerous descendants of F made in the 15th and 16th centuries.  Some 47 are listed in Goetz and Schoell.”
– Roger Pearse[2]
