Biography of Karl Wilhelm Ludwig Müller

Karl Wilhelm Ludwig Müller (1813-1894) was a German classicist. He is most commonly remembered for his Didot editions of fragmentary Greek authors, especially the monumental five-volume Fragmenta Historicorum Graecorum (1841–1870).

1813 – He is born in Clausthal, Germany.

1836 – He publishes De Aeschyli Septem Contra Thebas, Diss.

1841-1870 – Fragmenta Historicorum Graecorum

1846 – He publishes Arriani Anabasis et Indica. Scriptores rerum Alexandri Magni (fragmenta). Pseudo-Callisthenes.

1847-1858 – He publishes Oratores Attici.

1853 – He publishes Strabonis Geographica.

1858 – He publishes Herodoti Historiarum libri ix. Ctesiae Cnidii et Chronographorum Castoris Eratosthenis etc. fragmenta.

1861-1882 – He publishes Geographi Graeci minores.

1883-1901 – He publishes Claudii Ptolemaei Geographia.

1894 – He dies in Göttingen, Germany.
