Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus is currently being held in the National Library of Paris. It was brought from the East to Italy in the early 16th century. It is believed to have been brought from Italy to Paris by Queen Catherine de’Medici. Why is it believed to have been brought to Italy in the 16th century? Why is it believed Queen Catherine de’Medici brought it to Paris? When was it first named Ephraemi Rescriptus?
