Biography of Jacques Collin de Plancy

Jacques Albin Simon Collin de Plancy (1793-1881) was a French occultist, demonologist, and writer.

1793 – He is born in Plancy, France.

1818 – He publishes his Infernal Dictionary.

1821-1822 – He publishes his Critical Dictionary of Relics and Miraculous Images (Volume One, Two, Three)

1830-1837 – He resides in Brussels, then the Netherlands, and then returns to France.

1845 – He publishes his Legends of the Blessed Virgin.

1846 – He publishes his Legends of French History.

1860 – He publishes his Legends of the Church’s Commandments.

1861 – He publishes his Legends of the Old Testament, collected apocryphal books, Rabbinical and legendary ones, distinguished carefully from the crowned texts.

1863 – He publishes his Legends of the Calendar.

1881 – He dies in Paris, France.
