Biography of Raffaello Maffei

This article contains a concise biographical timeline for Raffaello Maffei (1451-1522). He was an Italian humanist, historian and theologian; and member of the Servite Order.

1451 – He is born

1466 – He is called to Rome, where he begins studying the philosophy of theology and of the Greek language.

1477 – He travels to Hungary with Cardinal Louis of Aragon.

1506 – He publishes Commentariorum rerum urbanarum libri XXXVIII.

1522 – He dies
